Larissa Marten wrote and developed I Killed the Cow, and she is also the performer. Her work has been produced at the Kennedy Center, the United Solo Festival, the Hudson Guild Theatre, and the Beckwith Theatre Company. She has performed at and worked with the Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Queens Shakespeare, the Renaissance Theater in Berlin, Germany, The Araca Project, and Young Jean Lee’s Theater Company. Leia Squillace directed and developed I Killed the Cow. She has studied Theatre of the Oppressed at Universidade de Rio and worked with the University of Michigan’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center to train students in peer facilitation with theatrical techniques. Her theatrical work focuses on the development of new plays about female sexuality, assault, and empowerment. NY director/ arts educator.
